About This Site
This website is an independently built information platform that curates offshore and marine energy supply-chain information and presents it through a clearer, more structured interface for industry users.
Rather than acting as a commercial platform, OceanPulse is designed as a reference-style database that helps users understand company roles, technical positioning, and possible partnership pathways across the offshore energy ecosystem.
Author Background
The site is maintained by William, who currently works at MIRDC. The Marine Technology Innovation Center (MTIC) in Qieding, Kaohsiung mainly supports offshore wind workforce training, marine technology development, and marine technology testing and verification services. His work focuses on offshore wind O&M, marine unmanned systems, and marine technology industry development.
The starting point for this website was simple. While working in offshore wind and marine technology, the author frequently needed to search for companies, technologies, and service providers across different countries, but the information was often scattered across event websites, reports, and private notes.
Over time, those contacts, visits, and company studies grew into a personal database. To make the information easier to search and easier to maintain over time, the author decided to turn it into a website.
This project is also an experiment in AI-assisted development, or vibe coding, with the goal of building a practical industry information tool in a short amount of time.
This is a personally initiated project rather than an official platform. Most of the content comes from the author's accumulated research, technical exchange, and industry visits in Taiwan and abroad.
The goal is to turn years of accumulated notes into a reference-oriented database that can also benefit the wider industry community.
Support and Collaboration
Working in a public research organization came from a simple belief: the work should create real value for the industry. This website grew from the same motivation, to organize Taiwan's offshore wind and marine-industry information so more people can find resources efficiently, understand the supply chain, and create more room for collaboration.
Maintaining the site still involves fixed domain and hosting costs, but there is currently no plan to introduce donations or sponsorships. If you find value in this work, the best way to support it is simply to get in touch.
Whether you have industry observations, collaboration ideas, or practical needs, the team can also support the following services:
- Market research for offshore wind and marine industries
- Taiwan supply-chain mapping and supplier matchmaking
- Wind farm O&M technology and use-case analysis
- International industry intelligence and trend analysis
- Project-based research and consulting support
- Analysis of marine unmanned systems development, technology trends, regulations and standards, testing and verification, and insurance mechanisms
If you notice incorrect data, would like to add supplier information, or need matchmaking and related support, you are welcome to contact the site via the channels below.
